String quartets are four-piece ensembles consisting of a first and second violin, viola and cello.
String quartet music structures typically involves four movements: a sonata allergro, a slow movement, a minuet and trio and a sonata rondo (or fast movement).
Music Notes Academy Student String Quartets are for violin, viola and cello students.
Students will learn instrumentation, music theory and performance techniques for playing in a four-piece ensemble through music from the classical era onward.
Our performance groups perform live in our annual Spring Student Recitals and any additional performances we can schedule during the school year.
